Wow! Okay, First of all I noticed that the Form N400 Application now a days are progressing very fast! My online application says ~ Estimated Completion Time is February 2020 (9 months) so I didn’t expect I will be hearing some progress from USCIS this early.

Jan. 30, 2019 – Submitted Form N400 application thru on-line
Feb. 19, 2019 – Biometrics Appointment
May 7, 2019 – Our US Citizenship Interview
June 19, 2019 – Oath taking Ceremony (waiting for the Notification Letter)

Most of the questions were came from the Quick Civic Lessons for the Naturalization Test Booklet given at the USCIS Application Support Center during the Biometrics.

Interview took only about half an hour.

English Test 1 – Reading test which is very easy, even an elementary student can do.
English Test 2 – Writing Test which is done using an iPad in front to where I am seated. I was told to write “There are 100 Senators in the United States” – easy.

Civic Test: (Based on my experience, It may vary on yours)

What is one thing Benjamin Franklin famous for? One of the authors who wrote declaration of Independence (others are John Adams and Thomas Jefferson)
What age does a US Citizen be able to vote? 18 and above
What Ocean is on the West Coast? Pacific Ocean
How many justices are there on the Supreme Court? 9
Who is our current President? Pres. Donald J. Trump
What is the Freedom of Religion means? You can practice any religion, or not practice a religion.
What is one responsibility of the United States Citizen? To vote on a federal election

And then next is just personal questions about your self like,

Where do you live?
Whom do you live?
How long you already staying in the United States
Do you have work?
What does your husband do?
What is the name of your children?
Do you travel outside US more than 6 months?

And then some US Government Questions like

Are you involve in a terrorist group?
Are you involve in a prostitution?
etc. etc.

And then I also have the opportunity to ask – How my k2 dependent will be naturalized?
~ His answer is: After the oath taking ceremony (which will be held on June 19, 2019) → we have to apply for US Passport and then it’s up to the Passport Officer if they will give my son a US passport or they will require my son to apply for a US Citizenship certificate (Form N600) which also cost money. Either a US Passport or a US Citizenship Certificate will prove that a person is a US Citizen. So it is still depends. Let’s see when we get there.
